Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet believes foreign investors should steer clear of buying English football clubs.Addicks fans have endured five miserable years under the Belgian millionaires reign, which included relegation from the Championship in 2016. Most supporters have been protesting against Duchatelet since he bought the club in January 2014.

Im not the only one, an owner of a big club, who doesnt have the time to take care of this.I didnt know (when I purchased the club) it was going to be the case. Thats the reason why I believe that the EFL shouldnt sell clubs to foreign owners who do not know this kind of thing can happen.Duchatelet says buying Charlton has been a major mistake.He angered Addicks fans once more after failing to sufficiently back manager Lee Bowyer in the January transfer window.The Addicks lost 14-goal striker Karlan Grant to Huddersfield in a deal in the region of 2million with just two days of the transfer window remaining.
